Terms of Service

Last updated: 25 May 2026

Plain-English version: be a decent operator, only audit URLs you have the right to audit, pay your Pro bill if you have one, don't try to break the service. We promise to score your pages and not sell your data; we don't promise specific search-ranking outcomes.

1. Introduction

These Terms of Service (the "Terms") form a binding agreement between you and Lumen Star LLC, registered in Wyoming, United States ("FAQAudit", "we", "our"). They govern your use of the FAQAudit website at faqaudit.com and all associated tools, dashboards, and APIs (collectively, the "Service").

By creating an account or running an audit you confirm that you've read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree with any part of them, don't use the Service.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service. If you're using FAQAudit on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation to these Terms.

3. Your account

You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity that happens under your account. Notify us immediately at info@faqaudit.com if you suspect unauthorised access.

You can have one account per email address. Sharing one account across multiple users on the Pro plan is fine; reselling our service under another brand isn't (see Section 4).

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Audit URLs you don't own or otherwise lack permission to analyse — including login-gated, authenticated, or private pages.
  • Use the Service for reconnaissance toward unauthorised security testing or attack of any third party.
  • Attempt to circumvent rate limits, fingerprint our infrastructure, or scrape our pages or APIs in bulk.
  • Resell, white-label, or otherwise redistribute the Service without a written agreement.
  • Submit content that violates any law, infringes third-party rights, or is designed to mislead or defame.
  • Interfere with the Service's normal operation, including by uploading malware, abusing the audit pipeline, or overloading our LLM judges with adversarial inputs.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate this section, with or without notice depending on severity.

5. Free and Pro tiers

Free tier — 10 audits per calendar month per account. All four AI engine scorings, full report, PDF download. No credit card required.

Pro tier — currently $49 USD per month per account. Includes:

  • Unlimited audits
  • Up to 25 watched URLs with weekly automatic re-audit
  • Email alerts when scores drop more than the threshold you set
  • Score history charts and trend tracking

Anonymous (logged-out) visitors get a daily anti-abuse cap of 5 audits per IP address. This isn't a tier — it's just to keep the free homepage form usable for everyone.

We may add or change features, pricing, and limits over time. Material changes (price increases, removal of features you rely on) get at least 30 days' notice via email and an in-product banner.

6. Billing, renewals, cancellation

Pro subscriptions are billed monthly in advance via Stripe. Your subscription auto-renews until cancelled.

Cancellation: cancel any time from your billing settings. Your Pro features stay active until the end of the current billing period; we don't pro-rate refunds for the unused portion.

Failed payments: if a renewal payment fails, we'll retry per Stripe's default schedule. After three failures we downgrade your account to Free; your audit history stays intact.

Refunds: we don't offer refunds for partial months. If you believe you've been billed in error, email info@faqaudit.com within 30 days and we'll review.

Taxes: prices shown are exclusive of any applicable VAT or sales tax. Stripe handles tax collection where required.

7. Your content and our license

You retain all rights to the URLs you submit and to the Q&A content of any pages you ask us to audit. By submitting a URL, you grant us a limited, worldwide, royalty-free license to fetch the URL, analyse its content, and generate audit results — only for the purpose of providing the Service to you.

We don't claim ownership over your audit results, and we never use your content to train AI models. Audit cache entries are dropped after 24 hours; see the Privacy Policy for full retention details.

8. Our intellectual property

FAQAudit's code, brand, scoring methodology, rewrite suggestions, and the website itself are owned by us and protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. These Terms don't grant you any rights to our IP beyond what's necessary to use the Service as intended.

9. Service availability and changes

We aim for high uptime but don't promise an SLA at this stage of the product. We may take parts of the Service offline for maintenance, upgrades, or to address security issues — usually with notice for planned work and ASAP for unplanned.

We may add, modify, or discontinue features at any time. If we sunset a feature you actively rely on (e.g., watched URLs), we'll give at least 30 days' notice and an export path where reasonable.

10. Termination

By you: delete your account from settings any time. Your account and personal data are removed within 30 days of deletion (per the Privacy Policy).

By us: we may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, attempt fraud, or pose a risk to other users or the Service. For non-egregious violations we'll typically warn first.

Sections that reasonably should survive termination (IP, disclaimers, liability, governing law) survive.

11. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

Our scores are predictions generated by an LLM judge using documented retrieval patterns of ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, and AI Overviews — not live API calls to those engines. We don't guarantee that improving your FAQAudit score will improve your visibility, citations, or rankings on any specific search engine or AI assistant. Search and AI ranking signals change frequently and are outside our control.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, FAQAudit is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill — arising from your use of the Service.

Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or related to the Service is capped at the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) USD $100.

Some jurisdictions don't allow exclusion of certain warranties or limits on liability; in those cases the above applies to the maximum extent permitted.

13. Governing law and disputes

The governing law and dispute-resolution forum for these Terms are currently being finalised in consultation with counsel. Until updated language is published here, please contact info@faqaudit.com first regarding any concern or claim so we can attempt to resolve it directly.

Before filing any formal claim, you agree to first contact us at info@faqaudit.com and try to resolve the issue informally for at least 30 days.

14. Changes to these terms

We update these Terms when our Service or business changes. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent change. For material changes (e.g., new fees, expanded restrictions on your use), we'll email account holders at least 14 days before the new Terms take effect. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date is acceptance of the new Terms.
